Snorkel Great Lakes reserves the right to cancel a scheduled tour for any reason up until the time of departure. Cancellations are unlikely EXCEPT in the event of inclement weather. Typical weather conditions that warrant cancellations are high winds on Lake Michigan causing high waves along the lakeshore, dense fog along the lakeshore, or severe lightning nearby on Lake Michigan. Weather conditions on Lake Michigan do change quickly and while we are pleased to make as many trips as possible, safety is our greatest concern. Please be advised of this especially if you are traveling from a long distance or have an extremely inflexible schedule. You must cancel your tickets 48 hours prior to your tour by email. This also includes changes to your reservation. No same day cancellations are accepted.

What is your refund policy?
8
A purchased tour will be eligible for a refund or an exchange up to 48 hours before the scheduled tour time. If Snorkel Great Lakes cancels snorkel tour, you will be provided with a full refund or an alternative tour may be offered at a reduced rate if weather permits. All exchanges are dependent on availability. No same day refunds. NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES will be granted after the time of your scheduled tour. NO EXCEPTIONS. To exchange or refund your ticket for another time, please email us immediately. No tour will be refunded once they have started unless we cancel due to weather. If you show up with less participants than you have booked, you will be charged the full amount. No exceptions.
We normally do not make weather decisions until the day of the scheduled trips due to the timelines and changes involved with forecasting. Weather sometimes changes which can result in an updated weather decision during the day. Typically, lightning, wind direction, velocity, and wave heights guide our weather decisions.
If we cancel the trip due to weather or other reasons you will be issued a refund or an opportunity to reschedule. If you choose to reschedule your tour you have until the close of business on the day of your originally scheduled tour to make any changes to your reservation. After the close of business of the originally scheduled day you will not be eligible for a refund.
